Delaware Small Business Development Center
The Small Business Development Centers (DSBDC) will answer your questions about managing a small business and provide information about small business issues. The DSBDC provides information, training and free, one-on-one counseling for small business owners and those interested in starting a business. The SBDC can obtain a market feasibility study for your business. It contains data such as a detailed demographic profile of your market area and a great amount of other information.

Service Core of Retired Executives (SCORE)
SCORE provides one on one counseling for small business people thinking about starting a small business and for current business owners from retired executive volunteers. The organization also offers low-cost business skills workshops throughout the state.

Delaware Economic Development Office
The mission of the Delaware Economic Development Office (DEDO) is to be responsible for attracting new investors and businesses to the State, promoting the expansion of existing industry, assisting small and minority-owned businesses, promoting and developing tourism and creating new and improved employment opportunities for all citizens of the State.

Small Business Administration (SBA)
The mission of the U.S. Small Business Administration Delaware District Office is to aid, counsel, assist and advocate the interests of the state's small business community, utilizing various financial, investment, procurement, as well as business development programs and resources.

The First State Community Loan Fund
The First State Community Loan Fund (FSCLF) is a not-for-profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that specializes in supporting small businesses, micro-enterprises in the state of Delaware. The Business Growth Fund provides loans and borrower support for business owners, loans typically ranging from $15,001 to $50,000 to be repaid with interest over a 1-5 year period, depending on the nature of the loan. The Capital Works(tm) Microloans provides lending from $300 to $15,000 to be repaid with interest over a 4 month to 3 year period. Loan criteria vary by size and type of loan to simplify application process for microloans.

National Association of Certified Development Companies
The National Association of Development Companies (NADCO) is a trade association of Certified Development Companies (CDCs) - companies that have been certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) to provide funding for small businesses under the SBA 504 Program.
